The Kidde i9050 is powered by a 9V battery providing continuous operation in the event of a power failure. Designed with an Ionization smoke sensor, the alarm may detect a fire sooner than alarms employing photoelectric sensors. A flashing led to verify the alarm is receiving power and test button help ensure the alarm is operational.
